Thanks to DELL, we seem to have unearthed a bug in SI's software: I guess it cannot handle more than 100 million shares of a stock: DELL's volume shows up in the 4 digits here :)

*** U.S. House votes to open impeachment inquiry

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The House Thursday launched the third
presidential impeachment inquiry in U.S. history, pushing Bill
Clinton's embattled presidency into a new stage of crisis. After an
emotional and often angry debate, the Republican-controlled House
voted 258-176 to authorize an unrestricted probe that could range far
beyond the fallout from Clinton's affair with former White House
intern Monica Lewinsky. In the end, 31 Democrats joined Republicans
in approving the first presidential impeachment proceedings since
Richard Nixon's Watergate scandal in 1974. No Republicans crossed
party lines to oppose the inquiry, although one did not vote.

Today's action was promising. I think we probably will re-test the low forties, maybe lower. However, the sellers now will have to keep in mind today's recovery (and their losses) as well as that day a few weeks ago when the stock did the same thing.

At 42, DELL is trading at 50 times trailing earnings. This is a level that I feel comfortable with. I think DELL's worth a lot more, but the market isn't as convinced as I. As long as that is the case, DELL won't be able to outpace a trailing multiple of 50 for too long without crashing down again.

We've flushed the faint at heart on this 100,000,000 share day. Now if those who aren't faint at heart, but leveraged to the hilt can just hang on a little longer....

I undid a great deal of my leverage today. I might have less than before, but I will be able to sleep much better. In any event, I'm still up ~100% since 12/31...
