Jonathan,
demand for short funds should be high now, some investors already cashed out from mutual funds and are searching for good investment during Bear. I have been asked several times about month ago to recommend something, but not familiar with funds excluding BEARX. Kind of like Tice because he survived and did not give up at the top. Have some money in BEARX and Tice is doing good job. BEARX is not elephant, but bear size (300 M$) and can't deal with mini and micro caps; 10M$ fund can.

Looks like you have already done something interesting, Roger did a lot to rise prestige of your family around the world, so you probably will not have a lot of troubles at the beginning.
If market crashes, not only money but trust will be lost. Criminal investigations will be unavoidable and God knows what they may find. It was ugly in 1929. New clean names may be required in addition to new, bearish, strategy.
