Agreed the number of new lows reached a new high but isn't that
what happens in a selling climax. The interest rate went up slightly
today suggesting that some money came out of bonds and into stocks.
Plus Abby Cohen called for a recession in 1999. The capitulation of
cohen could be another signal that we are close to a bottom. In any
case I do believe that CSCO, DELL , MSFT have touched bottom. Are you
short YHOO as well ? You must have made out like a bandit on your
AMZN short. Good Job.

Russel20000 crazier than a rat in a cesspool...

CC, I agree this was a "bad rally" You can't talk good rally when the new lows indicator was the fifth largest in stock history (source: CNBC). And that was on a day when Dow was only down 11 !! You can't talk about a good rally when Russel colapses almost 4% and NAZ goes down the Dow equivalent of over 200 points.

Listen, I hope the Dow and Naz fly tomrrow, I really really do. I lightened up my GTW puts today and started nibbling at AMZN puts again when it climbed back to 86. I want AMZN to attack 100 mark again. And when Bezos has to amdit that short end of yield curve (where his bonds sit, AMZNS only asset) has collapsed (like it did this morning) but he still has to pay 10% on junk bonds, the shit will really hit the fan. This will happen, 100% guaranteed.

Of course, when BKS buys CDnow and NK2, AMZN's one claim to fame will be gone <g>. This is my prediction. BKS will buy the newly combined CD entity on the cheap. They've got the cash. So does Bertie.
