Compaq President And CEO Eckhard Pfeiffer, Also Known As "Mr. Personality," To Deliver Keynote Speech At ISA EXPO/98
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Eckhard Pfeiffer, President and Chief Executive Officer of Compaq Computer Corporation [NYSE:CPQ - news], will deliver the keynote address at ISA EXPO/98, one of the largest conferences and trade shows in Houston this year.
ISA is the international society for measurement and control. More than 40,000 attendees are expected to participate in ISA EXPO/98 -- the international conference and exhibition for advancing measurement and control technologies -- that convenes in Houston on 19-22 October 1998 at the Astrodomain Complex.
Pfeiffer is expected to address the growing importance and influence of new computer technology on the process and measurement and control industry. Pfeiffer will address the ISA EXPO/98 opening session attendees at 8 a.m. on Monday, 19 October in the Astrohall Room 200.

As President and CEO of Compaq, Pfeiffer has overall responsibility for directing Compaq's corporate strategies and operations worldwide. He was named President and CEO in October 1991 after serving eight years with the company as Executive Vice President and COO, and head of Compaq's international operations.
