You're right !

I remember shopping there for whatever I could afford back in those days - and it wasn't very much.

Actually, I took my son there on our last trip to Boston in August.

I wanted to show him we could get from the Pruential Center Mall to Downtown without going outside in the RAIN one day.

We did and ended up in Filene's basement - but my son thought it was boring.
