Mohan, more good news for Dell!

Spending on information and communications technology (ICT) hit $1.8 trillion last year globally and has become so important to the worldwide economy that not even financial crises stymie the market for long, according to a new study released Thursday.

By the end of this year, nearly 100 million people globally will have access to the World Wide Web, and that figure will jump to 320 million by 2002. Last year, there were 78 million devices in use that access the Web; that total will rise to more than 515 million within five years.
