My original entry into Ericcson several years ago, was curtesy of a downgrade from Merrill...bought stock at 18...split four-for-one, followed by a two-for one split. Since that time, I always am ready to buy on Merrill downgrades of Ericcson....nysebob2

Ericsson launches first of new products linking Telecom and Internet Services

Ericsson Network Intelligence , the world's leading supplier of intelligent
network systems, announces the launch of Internet Advertiser, an intelligent
network application that distributes targeted advertising to Internet users.
With Internet Advertiser, Internet service providers (ISPs) can provide free
or low-cost Internet access to subscribers while generating increased revenue
from advertisers.

Internet Advertiser is the first of Ericsson Network Intelligence's new
TeleInternet products, geared towards helping major carriers and new operators
exploit the capabilities of the Internet by linking telecom and Internet
services. Based in the US and headed by Anders Hultgren, director and general
manager of TeleInternet, the group is creating an advanced portfolio of
products for customers world wide

Using the NI-based application, ISPs can control advertisements sent to the
Internet user, based on the user's profile, location, time of Internet use and
interests. This capability enables ISPs and their advertising customers to
present targeted advertisements to the appropriate audience at the most
suitable time.

Internet Advertiser also provides ISPs with a unique fraud control capability
that guarantees advertisements are viewed rather than bypassed by users.

"By incorporating fraud control and data reporting components, Internet
Advertiser enables ISPs to provide extremely targeted advertisement
capabilities that are unlike any advertising in the marketplace today," said
Ulf Lesley, director of global marketing, Ericsson Network Intelligence.

Ericsson Network Intelligence, the world leader in Intelligent Networks, has
supplied IN products and services to more than 95 fixed and mobile operators
in over 40 countries. Recognised to be the most well known supplier with the
most purchased brand of IN services and products, Ericsson Network
Intelligence customers range from full service operators to new carriers and
global alliances.

Ericsson's 100,000 employees are active in more than 130 countries. Their
combined expertise in fixed and mobile networks, mobile phones and infocom
systems makes Ericsson a world-leading supplier in telecommunications.

I agree. Another one I find confusing is the Buy-Hold-Sell ratings used by some. If the stock does not have the fundamentals that would justify buying it today, why would I want to "Hold" it?
