adding insult to injury...from US Press - John MERIWETHER, NOW FAMED FOR HIS NEAR-COLLAPSED Long Term Capital Management, transferred a personal aqsset into his wife's name "to put a major personal asset out of the reach of potential creditors," according to a report in Business Week. to sum it up folks, it was only a 20-acre vacant lot in Pebble Beach, Calif. IMO, Mr. Meriwether should have been used to warm up the wood chipper in the movie, "Fargo". He and his egomaniac buddies are a menace and should be banned from affiliating himself with any securities firm for life. They ought to be stripped of all assets and learn what real people do for a living. I would love to see him wait on tables or work the fryer at Micky D's. If there are awards to ultimate scumbags, I nominate johnny meriwether. Nobel Prizes? GMAFB.

funny, I heard a rumor that some pissed off US citizens found out where that valuable lot is and decided to dump dioxins all over it, rendering it worthless for a couple thousand years, making Mrs. Meriwether responsible for the hazardous waste cleanup. I was shocked at hearing this, but I thought I should pass it on.
