Behold - The E-book!

This may open a very big new market for Li-poly batteries. The electronic book has arrived. One of the models packs up to 100,000 pages of print into its 8 1/2 X 11, 2.9lb frame. Runs 20 - 25hrs on nickel-metal hydride battery. 4Mbytes of flash memory, 33.6K modem, CD-ROM, and more. This nifty device may well become the standard among students, business travellers, and others who just like to read. Buy your favorite novel on CD, or download things you want from the library, then get on a plane and read all about it. Even Gates is getting invloved! From the latest EETimes.

Fred: Yup, looking for VLNC to culminate a spectacular year for me. However, generally speaking, October is living up to its nasty, mean and ugly reputation, eh? Here's a rumor I heard, yesterday Fidelity reported that a third of all its calls were margin-call related!!! Now THERE'S an answer to the Why of this market slide. I gotta say I've never seen such a massive wave of capital destruction as is now occurring. And its far from over. Kind'a sort'a like, to paraphrase a movie/novel I'm sure most of us are familar with, "Bonfire of the Currencies" is clearly underway.

At least VLNC is swimming well against the deluge, all things considered.
