With 40% of the public (versus a few percent in 1929) maintaining some kind of interest in the stock market, it may take a long time to unwind.

3,000 on the Dow is by no means impossible, but I would look for it over the space of three years rather than three months.

Remember: mine was the post in December for a low this year for the DOW of 4,200. Lots of grins and giggles on THAT one at the time!

And it is looking more possible every day.
