The $ 300-million bond issue by Singapore was very well received. Singapore has eased restrictions of the Singapore dollar to expand its bond market. This is the first time since 7/97 that foreign capital is flowing in not out.

the main point is that the situation is already dire in indonesia, with the dollar weakening other currencies including Indonesias's should strengthen. the market looks ahead and indonesia has already seen rock bottom. other markets are weakening because they are not yet in recession.
