I skimmed over it, but I have read that alarmist stuff before. No doubt there will be problems, I feel Y2K will be a bump in the road of life. But some Y2K circles tend to believe civilization as we know it is finished.

Sadly these people underestimate the human being. We have the ability to recover from any adversary. Humans have experienced major problems in the past and got through it.

It is always a good idea to have a survival kit / plan on hand at all times, as natural and man made disasters happen when you least expect it.

But that statement you posted ""If you sleep at night, you don't understand the problem." Is a bit too alarmist for me. Sounds like that person has lost faith in mankind.

I guess all the Y2K BS & hype that has been handed to me really turned me off, and put me on the other side of the fence.
