Turn on CNBC by 8:30 a.m. Eastern. Faber just asked LU CEO about possible acquisitions, and he'll address question after commercial break.

McGinn handled Faber's question in a predictably smooth manner: i.e., said nothing. Targeting high-growth segments; LU spending $4.5B in internal R&D this year and will continue to weigh this "organic growth" with acquisition possibilities; opportunity for pooling isn't materially re-shaping acquisition strategy; discounted long-term effect of dilutive acquisitions, saying the impact would be so small (1/2 cent per share was his example) that it'd be negligible over time.

No specifics.
