Chip, come on now...

IF Oct 12 turns out to be SLI adverts only, then lets face it, TDFX enjoys dimming the lights, putting on a nice drum roll, then... letting us down.

Remember how anxiously we all awaited Banshee--- virtually nothing groundshaking except great 2D. Now, this is no small task. They did GREAT with 2D, but what in the hell did they keep us in the dark for? And with tremendous buildup and anticipation...nothing

Nobody has mentioned this, but how long can SIII possibly stay in business? Another casualty of the bloody graphics wars...let them die a peaceful death...DIMD not making a Savage board was music to my ears.

One last point, Ballard says they keep the roadmap secret so that it doesn't hurt sales of current products- competitors all know what each other are doing. Tony T says that they keep the roadmap secret so that competitors don't know what they are doing...Ultimately, I guess they will be successful in at least not providing shareholders with any info...

I'm just about to pack up the Raven and return it to EB! Not because of the shitty initial Banshee results but because I don't think Quantum3d is capable of supporting this card and the games. After looking through guillemot's web site there is discussion forums, driver updates, and seemingly genuine concern.
At Q3d's website their is advertising! and that's it! A response to my E-mail about this to Q3d got this reply: "This should be corrected soon."
Hey, you clowns!, The card is on the shelf now! What the hell have you been doing for the past six months, adding stupid graphics to your Raven advertisement?!

Chip, what do you think, return the Ravens? I think guillemot has the best support and I think Diamond will also.

I'm sure the Banshee troubles will be fixed but it seems that they may get incorporated into the Raven 6 months later due to Q3d's lack of support and their 3DFXish silence.

Tony (I'm getting angry) Maza

BTW what do you guys think would happen if I used guillemot's driver update and it updated my Banshee BIOS? Would it turn the Raven into a Phoenix? If it screwed it up could it be recovered?
