James - Thanks for the try. I can understand the dynamics of last summer (though I'm still confused about Jan's point #6.)

Interesting behavior this morning -- looked like more buys than sells went through (w/ several 5k buys) but IT still fell. Then one 10k sell. VERY SLOW as if everyone is waiting for others to buy.

Are the Elephants snuffling around the edge of the forest? Scatter those peanuts!

I think it is worthwhile to pay high premiums to buy puts at this time. We may be in a 'crash' environment. Also AOL has more reasonable premiums and a similar looking chart.
