FWIW, In preparation for my 1998 taxes, I was intending to sell my last 1000 shares of ANCR for a capital loss... but it seems to me based on the recent press releases and discussion here that ANCR is an attractive speculative bet just now at around 1, the 52 week low. Especially if it gets anywhere near that 5 mark set by analysts...

Sooooo... I made a little gamble with 2000 shares at 1 1/8 this morning... (doesn't sound like much, but at one time so many shares were worth 80k!!) and will sell my other 1000 shares closer to the end of the year... if they're still in the red. :o)

IT Spending Trends Favor Investment in Enterprise Storage:

biz.yahoo.com

A puff piece out today on EMC has some interesting analyst comments re enterprise storage and the possible impact on IT spending resulting from changes in the global economic climate.

The trend should be favorable for our friends at McCade as well as the new Ancor/ INRANGE duopoly. <g>
