Tim--Your point is well taken--but there is one wild card thrown in here, the y2k problem, Newmont mining CEO just did a press release, and said that gold sales are picking up, because of y2k---it makes it interesting to say the least, mixed in with interest rates, clinton, japan and so on. I do think we're in for a 50% rate cut in the next few days-if there's continuing panic selling in the market.
