Anti-government activists pressure vital energy industry

LAGOS, Nigeria, Oct. 9 — Keeping up pressure on Nigeria's key oil industry, angry mobs seized two Shell Oil helicopters and took control of an oil rig. The latest troubles come just days after groups of anti-government demonstrators in the same region took control of nine oil pumping stations, halting the daily transfer of about 250,000 barrels of oil.
