You are probably right. BA will probably have to get use to more aggressive competition. If they meet $2 in 1999 (which should be doable) that would give them a PE of 16 at the current price of 32. There is room for stock appreciation if BA gets their act together.

The acquisition of MD and part of Rockwell will help give BA much more diversification. The commercial air division is now less than 50% of BA.

BA has given some indication things are improving, but it seems that the Street is skeptical of BA management and they probably have every right. It will be interesting to see what they say when they report earnings.
