Glenn, As a side note on your boxing activity, are they giving you an interest rebate on
the short share cash? Given your trading activity, I would sure demand one. Now
whether they give it to you is another matter. -g- You might want to talk to Mike Burke
about how to approach the subject.

IS,

They are not giving me the interest although I had made the request. I am using DLJ on this and they are not even permitting the margining of any interent stocks due to their risk. I know the two are not related.

I have another 1000 shart shares at PNC Bank and they will not pay me interest entier but only use a 5% equity requirement when I am boxed.

The brokerage houses seem unfair to me many times. I love the market so have learned to live with it. I am going to be online brokerage house shopping this weekend. There are a lot of posts on this thread from a few days back with recommendations. The non margin on DLJ eats a lot of cash. When I box, I have 500 long shares at DLJ that are in cash and I went long and short YHOO and the long YHOO reguires cash. I have 500 long YHOO shares there too. I would love to say the equity is not an issue but that would be a lie. Particularly, in light of the fact my businesses require more cash between now and December.
