Spain's unemployment rate fell to a six-year low of 18.76 percent in June, as the growing economy creates jobs in construction, industry and tourism. The number of employed rose by 466,600 people in June from a year earlier.

DUTCH consumer prices rose in September, in line with
economists' expectations, as clothing and shoes became more
expensive in the fifth-largest economy slated to join monetary
union.

With the Dutch economy growing faster than that of its
neighbors, Dutch inflation is likely to remain above the 1.2
percent average rate of the 11 countries joining monetary union.
Falling energy prices and cheaper imports from struggling Asian
economies are expected to keep inflation in check, however.

DANISH retail sales rose a seasonally adjusted 3.1 percent
in July and August from May and June, led by growing sales of
food, clothing and other consumer goods, Danmarks Statistik
reported.
