I 'd feel as if I'd endorsed the worse of the two by refusing to take a stand. And then I couldn't sleep.

I was being somewhat facetious, injecting a bit of new-age feel-goodism into my political cynicism.

They should get rid of the campaign matching funds. Both parties as well as devious candidates such as Lyndon Larouche abuse this welfare for the politicians. There's loopholes galore for getting around the limits that come with the matching program.
