<What am I missing here?>

Big business greed Dug, plain and simple. It's ISDN all over again. These people learn NOTHING from there mistakes! I seriously doubt these people could manage an ant farm in a forest full of food. This part REALLY gets me!

>>The technology itself has presented several well-documented obstacles to achieving mass penetration, but both groups today cite what appears to be a broader issue: insufficient demand. Once providers began naming prices for ADSL service, Gage says, mass-market interest quickly dropped off.<<

Like DUH.........

Insufficient demand my ass! Does everyone know the old story about the dog that had a bone in it's mouth and seen it's reflection in a pool of water? Yup, you got it. He wound up with NOTHING.

Greed Dug, plain and simple.
