Just saw a Compaq commercial on CNBC. Seems they are tout the sell direct option a little harder so I gave them a buzz. I was connected to a sales person within a minute, gave me a product rundown, price and was told it could be delivered in 7 to 14 days. When I asked a question about a backup system the sales person took my info to send a catalog and flipped to a product specialist where we discussed different back-up systems. He was ready to take the order but no pressure. The response was great and I did not sense any fear in "selling direct offending the channel". As this thread has pointed out there is more to CPQ than pushing boxes but it is good to see them making progress with their blended distribution system. Best, Daaan
