Let's not get into a comparison. We all know DELL is a rocket right now. The point is that CPQ isn't a terrible stock and has outperformed the market... That's it. Nothing else...

I didn't mind when CPQ rocketed from $90 to $140 during last summer. CPQ has been dead money for about a year now.

But like Gary said, idiots like you are missing the point. Compaq management doesn't owe a thing to short-term holders. Short-term holders are impossible to define but in my book its probably less than 18 months...relative to LONG-term holders who hold for five to 10 years.
