Some observers say Clinton will not be impeached because polls show he still has a good approval rating from the American people. At about the same time in the investigative process, not only did Nixon have high poll numbers, but he had overwhelming support in the most accurate "poll" of all: He won re-election after Watergate had begun and the daily drumbeat of adverse news coverage that accompanied it.
