Eddie, Cpq is one of these companies, along with Sun, that has had a terrible time implementing ERP and business automation software. Admittedly, I dont know the specific situation with compaq now on this, but they did spend huge $$$ on Sap for limited functionality a while ago. Usually the problem with these companies is they dont have a well defined, automatable business process. In any case unless that has changed at Compaq or Sun neither company will ever be able to touch Dell in operations efficiency. Again, they may have tackled the beast by now but last year.... what a disaster. Michelle
