How about this: Make it a felony for any politician or ranking government employee to lie or otherwise act to mislead the public substantially about any matter of state, federal, or local government.. This would eliminate the questions about other matters that are none of our business.

The press would have lots to report on, the government would change in many ways, and in general politicians would talk less.

A special branch of the Judiciary could be set up to handle this. The law could be drawn to provide due process, unlike what Clinton is getting. Perhaps we would need a constitutional amendment, but that could be done. Once proposed, which politicians could publicly oppose it?
