Right. Being a lifelong Wisconsin resident, except for college, I must say that a) I never heard this story, whatever vintage and b) Wisconsin has had a Republican governor for 12 years now. And nobody calls him a liberal either. The Wisconsin DNR is nominally independent, but the governor has been in office long enough to have appointed most if not all of the governing board, as well as the agency head. The governor is very politically attuned. You wouldn't happen to have a source on this would you? Otherwise, all I can say is Go Fish.
