This Lockheed Martin contract announced today sounds like something JSI might be able to contribute to. Note that it was only one month from solicitation to completion of negotiations.

Lockheed Martin Corp., Marietta, Ga., is being awarded a $53,000,000 face value increase to a cost-plus-award-fee contract to provide for Preliminary Phase 2 of the Diminishing Manufacturing Sources program in support of engineering and manufacturing development of the F-22 aircraft. This effort involves redesign of 18 avionics components to insure continued procurement. Expected contract completion date is March 31, 1999. Solicitation issue date was Sept. 9, 1998. Negotiation completion date was Oct. 9, 1998. Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (F33657-91-C-0006-P00375).
