In some countries, conservatives are locked away for their freedon-loving views by the socialist/communist elite. Funny, but for the most part, this sort of facism is on the decline. I know it is probably hard for you to deal with this, but Cuba and China are about the only Communist states left for people like you and Slick. You can still opt to leave this country and go where your heart is; better yet, take Slick along with you and you can both protest against the US in the communist country of your choice. DD
