Im sorry to say this... truly I am, jbe, close your ears, but Gingrich in some ways reminds me of Jocelyn Elders. At first a breath of fresh air for the job - telling it like it is, etc. But, in the end the direct approach just isnt politically savvy. I get the sense Gingrich is kind of a bully. Some of his programs, specifically dealing with taxation issues on the self-employed, are right on. But something in the presentation is flawed. Remember when there was that coup between Armey and Newt for the speakership. Armey must have felt Newt was weak enough to fall.
