Thanks but not quite. Semiconductor knowledge is second tier with me, if that, so I'll just pass on what I learn from the experts.

Good, and IBM's THE company to be on par with, since they make all the critical chips for their own machines, which have to be the most reliable in the world. Of course, Intel is, hopefully, coming up on that level with Merced and McKinley, etc. If they do indeed have the fab machine in place, on a par with IBM, that's a huge piece of the puzzle to have when qualifying as THE chip vendor. Sure, they already are, but the enterprise market is still another step up.
