Re -- on one of his visits he brought the final decree for her to sign The PROVEN LYING TAX CHEAT Gingrich getting the final decree signed by his wife in hospital is GREAT indeed. One of the HARDEST thing to do in a DIVORCE, I am told, is to finally sign off on it (There is a a FINALITY to it).

I hate to defend Newt on this but being a politicians wife is a full time job in itself. He probably felt pressure to remarry and his ex-wife probably supported it. This is just speculation. Its terrible that his ex-wife was diagnosed with cancer or for that matter when anyone is diagnosed with any life threatening disease but life goes on. BTW I read somewhere where newts ex-wife might not have terminal cancer.... many cancers these days are curable, lets hope thats the case. Michelle
