Did he indicate when, if ever, the site was going to be "up and running 100%"? I figure, if he did, we could take that date and add six months, and thereby normalize TSIG's time schedule to that of the rest of the world. Only half joking there.
Second, the idea that he could/would discuss anything with you that does not belong in the public domain is unethical and illegal. There are, technically and legally, only two types of knowledge that "everyone" doesn't know about a company: public information that just is not known by everyone, and insider information. If what he discussed with you was the former, then it should and must be shared. If it was the latter, . . .
Recently, a company, defending its sharing knowledge with an individual that was not shared with everyone, said that the individual neither bought nor sold on the information, and therefore did not "profit from the knowledge." The courts ruled that possessing such knowledge provided a sense of mental security which enabled the shareholder to do nothing and profit. Both the company and the individual were fined.
I'm getting a little sick and tired of select people (Rich and Joe, among others) possessing information that is not given to us all. I think it's time to look into this. Maybe I'm just pissed at the company, maybe not. But if I am not privy to the information that others are, I want to see their asses on the grill.
