Steve,

HCCA caught my interest because of its wildly diverse mix of stated industries--health care, mining, Nashville music, and more! The hype on that thread was so utterly transparent and the IR guy who posted to the thread was such an outrageous buffoon, I too could not understand why anyone in their right mind could have considered HCCA as a serious investment vehicle.

That said, one of the best posts I've read at SI re the dynamics and psychology of the stock market and trading is somewhere near the beginning of that thread. I'll try to dig up the URL and send it to you.

Other stocks worthy of more than honorable mention in your Rogue Gallery would be the infamous SEXI (probably the first and definitely the most successful Internet stock scam), TEIM, Bre-X (of course), STNX (a VERY interesting story and an alternately suspenseful and humorous read), QGLY, ZITL, TFRY, SYCR, DACQ, BICO, and a host of others. I know I'm overlooking some stellar contestants in this cast of characters.

If you haven't already done so, do visit the TechniClon thread--probably the funniest thread at SI. The various FBN threads are hysterically funny. Veronex, a for-real stock, is a great read! Just ask Janice and her band of crusaders.
