That chart is showing the current PE based on next years earnings estimate (looks like AMAT is way overpriced if the estimate is correct).

Don W. posts a lot on the FSII thread if you want to ask him specific questions. He has been doing some great tracking of the semi-equip stock universe there.

Suppose the PE is only 20, then 20 x 0.66= $13.20 or 25 x 0.66 = $16.50, or 30 x 0.66 =
$19.80.
Someone help me understand this, I know that I'm tired but I don't
get it, what am I missing here?? Not that I'd mind those low prices
as I would get my average at around $17. 8^)


If I recall the highest PE that I saw on AMAT presplit was 50. Even if we have a PE of 50 x 0.66 we get only $33. This is sure not a very good movement which we have been accustomed to with AMAT. Does this figure seem reasonable?
