Dear Gary: Sorry I was confusing, how alert of you to identify me as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I've been teaching the Bible house to house 60 years, last time: this morning. As a believer I view world events thru the lens of prophecy. This I expect: 1. The human race will never be removed, will inherit planet earth forever. Psalm 37:29, 34 Isaiah 2:2-4, 11:6-8, 25:6-8, Matthew 5:5 2. Satan now rules the world, that's why nothing works, he offered all kingdoms to Jesus, so they belong to him: Matthew 4, Luke 4 3. The time of the end sees incredible world trouble of a magnitude never before experienced. I think we're there now: Matthew 24, Luke 21 3. A world superstate arises. [Revelation 17] I identify this as the League/United Nations, described as a Beast to which nations give their power and authority. This has only happened in the 20th century. 4. The Bible describes central world authority over commerce: Rev 13:17 5. When these events have come to pass, and the nations consolidated, they turn against world religions [The harlot] put her out of business. Revelation 17:16-18 6. Next Christ manifests Himself, destroys all human governments and evildoers as he did in the days of Noah. Matthew 24:37 7. Surviving mankind enters into the New Earth wherein dwelleth righteousness God will swallow up death, sorrow, pain and death shall be no more and all the blessings Jesus demonstrated by healing and resurrecting shall be duplicated planet wide, and mankind under the Messiah shall advance to express a perfect world as would have developed if Adam had never sinned. 2 Peter 3:13 Rev 21:1-5 "The meek shall inherit the earth and delight themselves in the abundance of peace" ... "The righteous shall never be removed, but the wicked shall not dwell in the land" Psalm 37:9-11 Proverb 10:30. 8. Our job: Abstain from evil, and Keep on the watch, for you know not when the Son of Man [Jesus] cometh" "You must be witnesses of me to the uttermost part of the earth."
