IDTI's business plan must be built around a unique strategy: build fabs that you can't fill because of failure to capture the current wave of product development (x86) and stay one generation behind in process technology - that way you can assure large write-offs and tax credits. The key to keeping investor interest and distributing large stock options for management is to continuously promise that next quarter you will come out with new products that will catch the next wave of demand. As long as new investors hear this story for the first time, the fact that you have been repeating the line for three years, (Fusion memory technology, MIPs for WebTV, C6, etc.), will hardly have an effect. Management keeps their jobs and fat options and the company keeps limping along always two steps behind. Sell the sizzle and not the steak.
