My research must be out of date. Last time I looked at GLM's debt ratio it was very low - close to zero. Admittedly that was about a year ago ... which is why I need to reduce the number of stocks in my portfolio. No time to keep track of them all in depth.

The acquisition point you make is a good one, but recent acquisitions haven't exactly lined our pockets. Witness WAI (Western Atlas) being bought by BHI. By the time it actually closed the WAI purchase price was nowhere near the price originally declared as the acquisition price. I lost a bundle by holding on to my WAI until the deal closed. Forgot the old maxim ... sell on the news.

I need to dig deeper on GLM and ESV. More later.
