Steve,

Here's the URL to the post on the HCCA thread re the dynamics of trading:

exchange2000.com

Looking over some old e-mail, I note that in February 1997 I had mentioned to a cyberfriend that the HCCA shares in the float numbered between 500,000,000 and 900,000,000 and that nobody seemed sure of the exact number. I had remarked also that with few exceptions the HCCA thread was littered with posters who must surely have attended the pitbull charm school.

Here's a URL to another of my favorite posts, this one from the ECO2 TIRE thread--another company of dubious achievement:

exchange2000.com

Loosely associated with STNX was SNCG and EYLT and, in my opinion, were of the same elk*. SNCG and EYLT also have threads here at SI.

Other companies, such as QGLY, SYCR, SYES, have viable products that are flying off their marketers' shelves and would seem to be grand groundfloor investment opportunities. However, the most cursory visit with Uncle EDGAR will disclose their shaky financials and fundamentals and--horrors--great gobs of Reg-S stock issues (potential for dilution of stock shares to stratospheric numbers, so ubiquitous among the BB OTC stocks). Thus, these companies are like unto Swiss cheese, and their investors stand a better chance at winning the lottery than at recouping their investment capital, much less realizing a profit.
