I agree with the article. I think we will see some of this effect on the expiration coming this Friday settlement. I would not be surprised if some other funds are not able to settle their derivatives on options expiration on Oct 16 and go bust. Wait and watch.

I think Acampora's remarks about the market heading into the 6000s is also rather sobering. When do we start loading up on OEX puts again? 8000? 8200? (any chance we'll see 8200 on the dow?)
