I updated my charts today (not on site). At my "mega-kahuna alert" a few days back I said the index fell below the 34 week Bollinger band. Well Friday the bounce ended exactly at the band. In that situation, my experience with individual stocks is that it doesn't recover further but the band starts to head down as it is already. The 34 week MA also started declining a few days ago.

CMB basically did just this during its recent BK. Now CMB is trapped beneath the 34 week Bollinger.

The positive news is that another BK on CMB and other financials would seem highly unlikely though a continuing slow decline is possible....

I'm short DELL,YHOO, UIS. All close to beta=2 oh and leveraged at almost twice my capital. But my US account is pretty small. In Australia I have puts on the National Australia Bank that is belatedly beginning to follow the US banks down.
