The Republicans shudder when they have to go up against Barney in a debate. I really like John Conyers, Mario Cuomo, Rudolph Giuliani and General Norman Schwarzkopf. How about Geraldo Rivera for President in 2000! George W. Bush seems to be doing an above average job in Texas. He may be the next Republican candidate for President, depending upon the number of skeletons he has in his closet. I just wonder about how much control the Religious Right has over him. The Republicans have really started an awful mess in this country. Noone of any substance is going to want to run for office. We're going to get a bunch more of mindless, religious fanatics getting into Congress, unless the people stand strong against this threat to our democracy. Regards, Bob
