Ease of entry into this arena is so simple that I believe eventually there will be no clear gorilla. Who's the gorilla of stock brokerage companies? Who's the gorilla of auto manufacturers? Who's the gorilla of steel making? It would seem to me that the baton has been passed back and forth a few times in those industries and they're nowhere near as simple to enter as this one. Even competition is not severe, P/E's of 100, 200 or whatever they are on YHOO are simply not sustainable and I seriously doubt YHOO's ability to grow into them. Fifteen cents a quarter is just not worth $100.

I agree about Raging Bull. Nowhere near the content of Yahoo. But my main reason for visiting Yahoo is the message boards. I will use it less and less, as there is more competition in that arena. For better or for worse, Yahoo makes it too easy to use aliases and it greatly reduces the quality of posts over there. Their acceptance of foul language and personal attacks also disturbs me. As Raging Bull gets more and more fans I can see myself entirely dropping Yahoo. And as far as search engines and portals. A dime a dozen very soon here. Excite, Snap, Lycos, Microsoft, AOLNet, etc. etc.
