I was at SAM's today, and there was a big pile of Pionex machines with GX 266 for $699, and MII 300's for $899.

The saleswoman told me:

Cyrix has a good reputation. GX 266 is faster than Pentium at the same clock speed.

AMD is even faster than Cyrix. Definitely faster than Intel and Cyrix. That's why the AMD 350 machine at end of the counter is selling for $1,699.

Who says Cyrix (and AMD) is no good at marketing?
