Okay Alex, I admit hearing even Kaplan capitulate turned me negative there. Two things from your excellent Times allegory are particularly significant and apt here: "'The emergence of such large speculative investors operating with high levels of leverage on a global basis has no parallel in modern financial history.'" Frightening to hear the Chief Economist of Zurich Group utter such shocking stock market blasphemies, isn't it? "As Lewis Carroll's Queen said: 'Sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast.'" I believe that is the dilemma of investors on this thread. Well, I'm late.
