CA.. if you've traveled some in the late 20th century, especially to third world countries, you'd be hard pressed not to see how desperate many of these people and places are. We should probably just let them figure things out for themselves, if they screw it up tought luck, let 'em starve to death... right? Then the same should apply to US companies that get tax breaks and financial support here... like tobacco, financials, farmers of every kind, defense contractors, power companies, transportation, high technology. The truth is that if there's something we want or feel we can get at a great discount out of any other people on this planet, we'll be in there sweet talking and back slapping with the rest of them.
