selling short in a bull market on a hot stock may be stupid....
but things are changing now....
ko pe of 40 on shrinking earnings in a bear market with possible global recession....
now is the time to short to make money....
most people lose money in down markets because they do not short...

Hi I-X and Paul -- thanks for your responses! Going back through my account statements, I found one from 9/30/88. At that time a share of Ko was worth 43.75. Today (split-adjusted -- x 7.83), that share is worth 497.21. I guess that's why I have kept most of my shares over the years. Past performance is, of course, no guarantee of future performance but ... . dulane

First Call just lowered estimates throughout the year....KO missed original estimates by a FAR more than your chart indicates.

At what price to short...THAT is the question....The Fed meets on Tues...a nice joker in the deck.
