Thanks for your post. Makes sense to me that a merger is possible and probable, absolutely essential. I live in a small town near Pittsburgh, population about 15,000. We now have access to the internet at high speeds from two sources. Cable , from the local cable co and over regular phone lines through Bellatlantic high speed access. Both are priced near $50.00 per month, includes email..etc. Point is, AOL is running out of time in providing the same speeds. I'd look for a merger / alliance very soon to be announced or AOL will be replaced by the likes of YAHOO or similar service.

AOL plus high speed access and increased sales in computers spells WE'RE RICH!!!!!!!!!! Look here to see were computer prices are going mei-microcenter.com
